Chow for MayorAny person already registered to vote may vote by mail. Early voting saves time... mail voters spend no time waiting in lines.
Voting early means you can spend the days leading up to election day helping the campaign. For more information, visit the website of the Hawaii State Office of Elections.
Important Dates and Deadlines:
To vote in the Primary Election on Saturday, September 18, 2010, you must be registered to vote by August 19, 2010
To vote in the General Election on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, you must be registered to vote by October 4, 2010
Register to Vote: You need to register if you will be voting for the first time, and you need to re-register if you changed your name or address. Anyone can vote as long as you will be 18 years old by election day, are a U.S. Citizen, and a Hawaii resident.
Download and print a voter registration form: http://hawaii.gov/elections/forms/voter_application.pdf
Fill out and submit the form to your county office. The addresses can be found on the form. Once you've registered to vote, you may apply for an absentee ballot and vote by mail. HELP SALLY WIN!
Mail an Application for Permanent Absentee Voter Ballot http://hawaii.gov/elections/voters/about_perm_ab as soon as possible (BUT NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 11) to the elections office in your County:

The Office of Elections will get your application, you will get a ballot in the mail (ballots will start arriving in mailboxes in late August), and if you follow the directions on the application you’ll never have to apply to vote absentee again.
